DO
YOUR LIGHTS EVER FLICKER? Do
your lights ever flicker, go momentarily dim and then back to
normal? Do light switch controls feel warm to the touch?
If yes, please read on.....
DID YOU
KNOW? When lights flicker
erratically, a potentially serious problem is in the
making. If you notice lights dimming momentarily at the
time that motor equipped appliances start up, you are
experiencing what's known as a surge in your system.
PROBLEMS ON THE
WAY: Flickering lights as
noted above, are produced by loose connections located
somewhere in the related circuitry. Loose connections
can be a result of worn contact in outlets, light switches, or
even loose wires at main connection points. When loose
connections are present, arcing takes place. The arcing
will burn away at contacts and in a short time enough of the
contact or connecting wires will be burned away discontinuing
the flow of electricity all together. Along with the
arcing, is the presence of heat build up. Fires can be
caused from the arcing and or the heating process. Motor
equipped appliances suffer due to the reduced amount of power
or voltage.
WHAT SHOULD YOU
DO? If any of the symptoms
noted above are common place, in your home, you should
consider our "WIRE
MAINTENANCE PROGRAM".
PLEASE
NOTE: You should realize that
the above conditions are early warning signs. Don't wait
until your power fails completely, or worse yet a fire breaks
out.
OUR
MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
To
reduce your risk of electrical fires, ongoing maintenance
expenses and replacement cost, of appliances, and electronic
equipment we have a solution.
 |
We will perform a
complete diagnostic inspection of the
entire electrical system. |
 |
Every light switch and
plug/outlet will be removed, the wires
will be inspected for signs of heat damage,
deteriorating insulation, and excessive wear on
contacts. Any connections will be remade as
needed. Following these maintenance procedures a
new device will be installed in your choice of ivory
or designer white. |
 |
Lighting fixtures will be
removed and all connections will receive
the above inspection. Upon completion your lighting
units will be reinstalled or we can install you new
provided lighting unit with no additional charge for
assembly. (Sorry, ceiling fans not included.) |
 |
Connection points
(commonly known as splices) throughout
the attic, crawl, basement and service
panel will also undergo treatment. |
 |
Safety ground fault
protective outlets will be installed
where required by code. Ground Fault
Outlets reduce shock hazard in damp
locations i.e. kitchens, baths, garages
and outdoors. |
 |
We will warranty your
electrical system (areas related to our
program only) for two full years. |
